Tom Kercheval put together this incredible highlight reel of Art Monk’s career.  It collects video evidence to specifically refute some of the arguments voters have made against Monk:

  2. What a fantastic tribute! Art is the type of player and the type of man that all football players should look to emulate. Art Monk’s induction would raise the Hall of Fame’s election standard for future players. Art Monk reminds us all that character and modesty are a much higher yardstick to measure greatness than stats and wins alone. Art doesn’t need the Hall of Fame to prove his greatness, the Hall needs him.
    Hail to Art Monk…

  3. Great video clip. No excuse, Art should be in the hall of fame.

  4. Unbelievable clip.

My favorite part was watching Monk break the all-time receptions record against the Broncos in 1992. He is mobbed by teammates and has a huge smile on his face – a very rare show of emotion from this quiet, lead-by-example player.

What an amazing player, and man.

  5. His lack of inclusion cheapens the HOF.

    Great video.

  7. Gave me goosebumps and reminded me why I’m a diehard ‘Skins fan. Nice to again see a true hero in this day of me-first athletes.

  11. That is really something else. I was on the fence about his candidacy, but not anymore. Mission accomplished – Art Monk belongs in the National Football League Hall of Fame.

  12. The anti-Monk PR job was like watching politics. One empty suit after another spitting out their anti-Monk reasons, always the same contrived untrue reasons, like Limbaugh and his army of clones/clowns. The NFL is a steroid-gambling driven farce that promotes a Cowboy crackhead criminal over a truly decent man- real life role model-great player. What a sham the NFL is. Monk has more class than the league
